This is a powerful story of learning to forgive. The story line and characters are well developed. I connected so easily to the characters. This book gives you a storyline on issues of racism, lies, redemption and love.
This book held my attention from the beginning to the end. A great page turner.

Wow! So much drama that I don't even know where to start. Forgiveness is incredibly difficult, without God, especially when it involves family members and close friends. I don't believe that forgiveness means entertaining toxicity but Sydney and Belinda seemed to really need it to sustain their sisterly friendship. I was surprised at the ending but anything less wouldn't have provided the accurate closure for Sydney's character. I'm still in disbelief that she gave Noah a chance after he stole her parking space and tried to close the elevator doors on her. Lol! Anyways, it was good reading.
I can honestly say, this story made me feel all kinds of emotions. Sydney got on my nerves most of the time becaus of her unforgiveness issues. It was like a mirror for me and caused me to question my issues. Noah was hot and a real man of God. A man of God with a past that could truly compromise his relationship with Sydney and others that he Pastors if it were to come out! The whole story, I was waiting for the other shoe to drop. And when it dropped, it went BOOM! What do you do when trust is hard for you, but the people closes to you lie or keep things from you? In a lot of ways, I don't blame Sydney for the things she said or did in the story, but I always root for love. So read it and see if Sydney and Noah survive the lies.
As I read over other reviews, I was admittedly happy to see that I was not the only reader whose toes were stomped on. Michelle Lindo Rice delivers a powerful message on what it truly means to forgive. We, as Christians, often feel we have it all together and are quick to tell others to "forgive them", that is until we are forced to walk in that persons shoes. This book made me stand up and reevaluate myself. Yeah, I had to go there and ask for forgiveness of God for all those that I had not truly forgiven myself. Lip service doesn't cut it. Thank you Michelle, for giving us a great love story while teaching us the true meaning of forgiveness. I'm looking forward to book 2 in this series.

Speechless is the only word that comes to my mind when reviewing this book. I mean that in a good way. It's as if you're giving a surprise party for no reason but to say that you deserve it. This book has everything rolled into one that you want to read. Romance, grudges, forgiveness, bigotry, humor and best of all God's love. Every page takes you on an adventure that is original. Believe me, I would be surprised if you read anything else like this. Michelle has such a way with words and plots that will either make you mad, want to shake some sense into someone or laugh from your belly. Some may think that this book is for ladies only but men would be pleasantly pleased to read it also. For married couples instead of watching a movie get comfortable and read this book together. Hopefully, one day it will be a movie. Well done Michelle Lindo-Rice.
When it comes to author Michelle Lindo-Rice I have come to expect nothing less than a great book that entertains, makes you think and leaves a lasting impression. With TELL ME LIES she once again delivered on all three of these.
We are able to see that no matter who you are or what position in life you hold there is nowhere the truth can't find you. We see that with characters Sydney and Noah. One the outside they have everything going for them that should make them just right for each other, but what if one of them is holding on to something that could eventually destroy what they have worked hard to build?
Sometimes it takes a work of fiction to remind us of this simple truth there is nowhere that the truth can't find us, and the best thing in life is to deal with what was so we can enjoy life today and into the future. Will Sydney and Noah be able to move forward once all is out in the open? That is what readers will discover as the story unfolds.
Powerful and pitch-perfect in its delivery, TELL ME LIES is one of Michelle's best.
All I can say right is WOW!
This book will challenge everything a believer thinks they know about forgiveness. I was challenged; at one point I was about to shut my kindle off because it step on my toes, but it was as if God was saying to me you really don't know what true forgiveness is until you have to forgive the ultimate betrayal or betrayals. I had to keep reading. The things Noah would say to challenge Sydney, Lance and others to be better people, be their best for Christ was so profound. I would say read with caution, not because it is a bad story, no it is the exact opposite, it is magnificent and it will push you out of your comfort zone to be the best for Christ. Forgiveness is the key to free you from so many hurts and pains and forgiveness will open up so many blessings.
Tell Me Lies by Michelle Lindo-Rice is an amazing read. I read this book with my book club and couldn't put it down. I have read other books by this author, and this one was just as amazing! She is truly a woman of God, and it is revealed through her characters.
The main characters in Tell Me Lies are Sydney, Noah, Belinda, and Lance. The main themes are trust and forgiveness. Sydney and Noah are an interracial couple. Noah is a pastor and desires for Sydney to be his wife. Sydney struggles with her past disappointments but eventually falls for Noah as well. Belinda is Sydney's best friend that holds a secret that could separate them for good. She battles her own demons as she tries to draw closer to God. Lance is Sydney's former fiance that reappears on the scene.
Through all of their struggles, secrets, and lies, they all had to make a decision to forgive and move forward.
I gave this book 5 stars! I am looking forward to reading book 2. Michelle Lindo-Rice addresses topics that many Christians are not willing to touch. Kudos to this author for a job well done!!
